The Great Hall

With its hand-painted Italian frescoes, and the 500 year-old Umbrian fireplace, the Great Hall is the Castello’s most prestigious and most sought after room.

One of the only rooms in the Castle with glass windows, the rest of the windows in the castle are open, some of them equipped with wood shutters. Keeping with the spirit of medieval authenticity. In the middle ages glass was expensive and only the most important windows were filled with glass pane.

Hand-wrought iron-work was almost done exclusively by the incomparable Italian blacksmith Giorgio Mariani.
