DTC Marketing and Public Relations Associate

We are an exciting, high volume and fast paced winery looking for a DTC Marketing and Public Relations Associate. This position reports to and works closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations and the marketing team to plan and execute all DTC related strategies relating to our website, email promotions, social media, digital assets, fact sheets and on-premise printed materials such as event collateral.

Other duties include writing and posting original content, supporting general direct marketing and sales, email marketing, ecommerce and database management and creative development including marketing photography and videography.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• All aspects of the email journey including brainstorming, writing, implementing and analyzing
email marketing efforts.
• Assist in DTC communications via website, print or other media.
• Daily content management of all DTC products, design assets and general content.
• Daily maintenance and review of the website to insure site usability.
• Participate in coordinating wine samples for journalists/media, subsequent visits to winery
and interviews with principals.
• Submit wines and manage wine awards and accolades.
• Assist in special projects for customer acquisition, on-site marketing team coordination, web
asset management and company reporting and analysis, as requested.
• Other duties and tasks assigned as necessary.
• Occasional weekend and holiday work may be required.
Knowledge and Skills
• Direct marketing, ecommerce merchandising, and social media experience in the wine
industry is preferred
• Thorough knowledge of wine and the wine industry preferred
• Solid understanding and working knowledge of Salesforce Email Marketing and Journey
Builder.
• Proficient with technologies supporting social networking channels (Twitter, Facebook,
Instagram, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and function as part of the marketing team
• Strong design skills and exceptional creative expression is a must.
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, customer service and organizational skills
• Highly organized project management skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Requires flexibility, ability to work quickly and the ability to multitask
• Time management and organizational skills

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising, new media and journalism/communication is preferred
• Wine related customer service, direct marketing, ecommerce merchandising, and social media experience preferred
• Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook, POS systems, ecommerce systems.
• Experience with database management, Photoshop and Lightroom and Microsoft products such as Excel, Word Outlook and Publisher.

This is a full time, non-exempt position with an attractive benefits package. Compensation is based
on experience.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and
hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with
hands and arms. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to
outside weather conditions, cold warehouse conditions, and varying degrees of heat and cold. The
employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment and fumes or airborne
particles.
